Ehsan sent photographs and video of his final thesis pieces: a green segmented arc on a post, a plaster relief, and a wheelchair tyre roped to a panel beside a bare one. In his words the thesis is about living with a disability in a place like Balochistan, and it isn't only sculpture, it's a call for more accessibility, dignity and inclusion.

A photograph of a powered wheelchair part-way through repair went up at the same time, with its seat frame open and the drive motor set down beside it. The projects page and the gallery both have the new material.

Ehsan photographed every hand control he's built: the 2011 one made from an old crutch and a bicycle handle, the one from around 2016 built out of a camera tripod, and the 2025 version put together from a car shock absorber and other parts he bought from a scrap shop. They're on the projects page and in the gallery now.

The calf brace that started all of this has no photograph and never will. He built it in 2000, and nobody in Turbat had a camera phone or an internet connection then.

The last stretch went into an art competition that wrapped up on July 10. After that, Ehsan started photographing what the workshop has already built.

The first ones are in: a portrait, and shots of Ehsan repairing a wheelchair in the workshop. Braces, a standing aid and the salvaged parts on the bench are still to come, so the placeholders across the site mark what will fill each spot.

We began building this website so the work is easier to follow and support. It came together with help from friends who wanted the workshop to reach more people, and takes inspiration from the e-NABLE community.

For now it's mostly words and placeholders. As repairs and prototypes get photographed, the pages will start to show the real thing.

A space attached to the house was cleared out and set up as a small workshop. Now the repairs and the building have a room of their own.

It's small, but everything is finally under one roof: tools, salvaged parts, half-finished projects.

Ehsan finished his Fine Arts degree at the University of Balochistan, with sculpture as his major and painting as his minor.

His thesis dealt with living with a disability in Balochistan, worked out in sculpture, which is not far from the everyday work of helping people move.
